“The Lamp” takes home three awards

Jim Stovall’s latest novel to be made into a movie by director Tracy J. Trost has walked away with three awards at the Trail Dance Film Festival. The Lamp walked away with Best Feature Drama, along with Best Actor (Cameron ten Napel) and Best of Festival.

This is the second time that Jim Stovall and Tracy Trost have worked together to create a successful faith and family friendly movie. Actress Cameron ten Napel has stated, “Being nominated is an honor enough, and then to WIN! It’s a dream come true, I couldn’t have done it without all the wonderful people that surround me.”

“The Trail Dance Film Festival validated the quality of The Lamp movie and its message in two ways. First, the overwhelming positive response from the audience when The Lamp was screened and, secondly, when the film received awards for Best DramaBest Actor, and Best of Festival,” said Jim Stovall, author of The Lamp, and Co-Executive Producer of the film.

This will be the third year that Trost Moving Pictures (TMP) have taken awards home from this film festival. “A Christmas Snow” being a film festival favorite took home four awards. “A Christmas Snow” starred  Catherine Mary Stewart, Muse Watson, Cameron ten Napel and Anthony Tyler Quinn.

Destiny Image Films hopes to see The Lamp: Just Believe continue to receive awards for the hard efforts of both Jim Stovall and Tracy J. Trost.
